Fire Island is an island in the atlantic ocean apart of Long Island NY. Travel is by way of feet, people tote belongings with vintage wagons. It is clean, friendly, unspoiled, and beautiful. The perfect antecdote to the rest of the chaotic world, especial NY. There is biking and roller blading as transporatation. A lot of health and fitness activities (rowing, tennis, yoga on the beach, swimming, surfing, fishing, ect), lighthouses, sand and castle competitions! The West side is more humble, quiet, artsy, and family-oriented. The East, just as arsty, has a more extravagant and ritzy atmosphere, large gay community, and the best night clubs around.
